Charlotte Ann Allen Harper of Elberton, Georgia was called home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2022. She was born on May 2, 1958, to Robert Allen, Sr. and Ethel Ruth Brown Allen. Charlotte worked at the Primary School for many years as a lunch lady where she was affectionately called “Auntie” by many students. She enjoyed her family, friends, and a cold one every-now-and-then.
She was married to Curtis Lee Harper, Sr., who preceded her in death. Charlotte is also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred Allen; and brother-in-law, Enoch Huff. Left to cherish her precious memories are her siblings: Ethel Ruth Allen, Elizabeth Allen Huff, Judy Allen (Oather Pittard), Vickie Allen (James Fortson), Garnett Sermons, Robert Allen (Helen), Joe Allen, Gary Allen, and Gene Mitchell Allen; uncles: Robert Brown (Minnie), John Brown; and aunt, Ladelle Brown. . She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including her best friend and honorary sister, Phyllis Highsmith, better known as “Hightower.”
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 16, at 4 o'clock in the Lincoln Heights Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.
