Mary White Rucker

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth White Rucker was born April 6, 1945 to the last W.C. and Maxine White. She departed this life on April 5, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman L. Rucker, her son, Steve M. Rucker, her daughter Lavenia Rucker, her brother, John Wesley and her grandson Justus Sims.

She was a member of St. Mary's CME church in her younger years then she later became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church after her marriage to the late Herman L. Rucker. She remained an active and faithful member of the church until her health declined.

She leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughters: Sharon(Lee)Bolden, Hermie(Myron) Grant, Sherry Holland (all of Bowman, Ga) and Lakisha(Shannon)Sims (of Elberton, Ga); 7 grandchildren: Latrice, Carrie, Amber, Shawn (Armardia), Steniah, Mia, and Brailey; 2 great grandchildren: Bailey and Rayne; 3 sisters in law: Peggy Crosby, Ethan Stevenson, and Thelma Wheeler; 3 brothers in law: Richard Teasley, Danny Teasley, and Thomas Teasley and a host of aunts, uncles, Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
