Aldine Cecchini Mcleod

Aldine Cecchini McLeod, 99, of 1043 Longstreet Road, formerly of Mattox Drive, Elberton, widow of Byron W. McLeod, died Saturday morning, March 12, 2011, at the Heardmont Nursing Home. Mrs. McLeod was born in Barre, Vermont, October 3, 1911, daughter of the late Paul and Wilhelmina Aldrighetti Cecchini. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elberton First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Dot Cecchini of Elberton; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McLeod was the dedicated and devoted caregiver of Homer Copeland of Heardmont Nursing Home for several years. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 3PM in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home of Lawrence and Dot Cecchini, 1510 Cecchini Road, Elberton, and will receive friends from 2-3PM Sunday, just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Flowers will be graciously accepted, and memorials may be made in her honor to the Elberton FIrst Presbyterian Church, Heardmont Nursing Home, or to the charity of your choice.
