Alleen Moon Hewell

Mrs. Alleen Moon Yearwood Hewell, 95, formerly of Highland Dr. Elberton passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Quiet Oaks Health Care in Crawford, GA.

Mrs. Hewell was born May 6, 1921 in Oglethorpe Co. to the late David Samuel Moon and Lucy Eades Moon. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a retired drafter from the granite industry.

Left to cherish her memories are son and daughter-inn-law Daniel & Louise Yearwood of Lexington, GA; daughter Jeanette Jones of Elberton, GA; grandchildren Harrileen Jones Conner, Scott (Julie) Yearwood, Angie Y. (Tony) Lawson, Lee (Nicole) Yearwood; great-grandchildren Jennifer Smith (Ben) McCarth, Kayla Smith, Austin Smith, Robert (Stephanie) Seerley, Shelly Seerley (Nathan) Hauck; great-great-grandchildren Adyan Smith and Olivia Rose McCarth.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Lee Yearwood, son-in-law Pat Jones, siblings Francis Guest, Alma Thomas, James A. Moon, Edwin Moon and grandchild Allen Jones.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Thursday May 12, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Bower officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family are at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in Alleen's honor to Calvary Baptist Church or Quiet Oaks Health Care.
