Allie Mae Brown Butler

Born in Elbert County she was a daughter of the late Frank Starke Brown and Anna Alethea Oglesby Brown. She was a member of Doves Creek Baptist Church, and retired from Elberton Mills - United Merchants. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Anna Margaret and Lucis Craft, sons and daughter-in-law James Milton Butler, Thomas Russell and Betty Jo Butler, sister Mrs. Charlie Gaines, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jasper Raymond Butler, and a daughter-in-law Joyce Butler. Funeral services will be held Sunday November 1, at 3PM at The Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Huff, Rev. David McConnell and Rev. Sonny Peevy officiating. The family are at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2-3PM Sunday just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Blake Young, Ray Craft, Mike Ragsdale, Chris Craft, Dennis Young, and Jason Alley. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her honor to Doves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Stinchcomb United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, or Northside Baptist Church Sanctuary Fund.
