Mr. Alvin Leroy Jones, 77, of 447 Elm Street, Elberton, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jones was born October 29, 1933 to the late Ora Jones and Lucy Partain Jones.He was the husband of the late Esther Rolline Bowdoin Jones.Mr. Jones was retired as a salesman forAce Hardware where he worked for a number of years. Mr. Jones is survived by son: Bobby Jones of Elberton. Mr. Jones leaves behind 3 grandchildren: Natalie Lunsford, Dalton, Ga., Travis Jones, Hampton, VA and Wesley Jones, Ft. Stewart, Ga. A service to celebrate Mr. Jones’s life will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening, May 22, 2011 at Hicks Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
