Anita Sue Moon Roberts

Ms. Anita Sue Moon Roberts, 64, of Bakers Ferry Road, Elberton, well known and loved clerk at Kenny’s Korner Store for many years, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020, at her residence.

Anita was born in Elberton on September 20, 1955, daughter of the late James Alex Moon and Cora Lou Young Moon Greer, and step-daughter of the late Reece Greer. She loved her work at Kenny’s Korner, reading, and playing Rumi. She always put others first and was willing to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Survivors include her children: James Lenard Green and his wife Robin of Glade Spring, VA and Frank Lewis “Jojo” Roberts, III of Jefferson; grandchildren: Brittany Rice, Makenzie Green, Taryn Green, and Malachi Dove; great-granddaughter, Stella Rice; special niece, Madison Canup; sisters: Sylvia Harrison of Elberton and Donna Wilder of Alto; and friends too numerous to name.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, June 29, at 3 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Mr. Bruce Freeland, the Rev. Bill Jones, and the Rev. Torenzo Gillham officiating.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Sunday, June 28.
