Anne Haven Bailey

Ms. Anne Haven Bailey, a loving mom and sister, passed away peacefully at her home in West Park Drive, Athens, GA on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the age of 65. 

Ms. Bailey was born on August 11, 1959, in Oak Park, IL to Guy Haven Bailey and Virgie Schrader Bailey. She enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and later pursued advanced education becoming an accomplished registered nurse. Ms. Bailey, a Christian, and wonderful, loving mother, was a devoted sister, a committed friend, and a proud veteran.

She is survived by her children: Victoria McNamara of Galveston, TX and Robert McNamara of Edmond, OK; and a sister: Lynn Barnes of Carlton, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bailey.

Ms. Bailey will be incredibly missed by her family and friends. Her generosity, humor, and love brought light and inspiration to so many who knew her. She will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved her.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be conducted on Thursday, February 13, at 2:30 pm. at Meadow Baptist Church in Comer, with the Reverend Mike Sarna officiating.

Flowers will be accepted at Meadow Baptist Church on February 13, from 12:30-2:00 pm. Alternatively, contributions can be made in her memory to the Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary https://blindcatrescue.com/.
