Mrs. Anne Ray Wilhite, born July 22, 1958, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was 56. Anne was the daughter of the late Bobby and Janette Ray of Elberton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Scarborough. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tim Wilhite; children: Josh Wilhite, David and Jodie Wilhite Baston, and precious granddaughter, Willow Jane Baston. She is also survived by her aunts, Betty Harper of Bowman and Martha Lynch of Savannah as well as several nieces and nephews. Anne was a very loving and caring person. Besides her Lord, Anne’s family was the light and joy of her life. She was employed as a clerk in the Tax Commissioner’s office for many years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Elberton and was a member of the Dan McAvoy Sunday school class. A celebration service honoring her life will be held Friday, May 30, at 1:00p.m. at the Elberton First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the church fellowship hall from 11:30p.m.-12:45p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James Thomas Wilhite Memorial Scholarship at First Baptist Church or TJ & Friends Foundation.
