Annette Smith Bone

Mrs. Annette Smith Bone, 94, of Elberton, wife of the late Charlie Jackson Bone, entered into rest on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Pruitt Health-Spring Valley.

Mrs. Bone was born in Oglethorpe County on April 3, 1923, daughter of the late Grady Smith and Annie Sue Pass Smith. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Annette enjoyed keeping a tremendous vegetable garden, working in her flowers, and taking the grandchildren fishing.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Doug Anderson; granddaughters and husbands: Lisa Anderson Ruffin and John and Denise Anderson Brown and David; great-grandchildren: Tim Brown, Angelina Ruffin, and Abby Ruffin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Larry Morris Bone; and granddaughter, Angela Anderson.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, June 5, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. John Younts officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family is at the residence of Doug and Becky Anderson and will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
