Annie Ruth Rucker

Miss Annie Ruth Rucker, 86, of Jaudon Road, Elberton, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Legacy Health and Rehab in Greensboro.

Miss Rucker was born in Wilkes County on August 18, 1932, daughter of the late Gifford Julian Rucker and Annie Venolia Rice Rucker. She was a sales clerk having worked for Belk, F.W. Woolworth, Sky City, and ultimately retired from Wal-Mart. She was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Beth and George Harrison of Elberton; special nephew, Chris Harrison of Elberton; her faithful companion, Puppy John; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Willis Harper Rucker and George Dixon Rucker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, at 3 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 2:00-2:45p.m. prior to the service on Friday.
