Apache had no known family. His remains were escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders of Georgia from Hicks Funeral Home on Wednesday July 13, 2022 to Milledgeville for a 1:00 p.m. Committal Service, after which he was interred in his “guaranteed place” at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
He was loved and cared for by Cheri Haynes and her fiancé, Henry Kirby; and her son, Erik Haynes.
Apache traveled from California to Georgia with his friend, Carroll “Hobo” Funkhouser of Bowman. Apache had many friends across the country and had many tales to tell.
