Arlene Iris Hernandez Dickerson

Mrs. Arlene Iris Hernandez Dickerson, 43, of Lexington Highway, Elberton, wife of Robert Douglas "Doug" Dickerson, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. 

Arlene was born December 20, 1979 in Augusta, GA to George Luis Hernandez, Sr. and Iris Fuentes Hernandez. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Arlene spent her early years being a homemaker raising her girls. She later enjoyed working in the medical billing for Piedmont Athens Regional.

She is survived by her husband: Robert Douglas "Doug" Dickerson; children: Anna Makenzie Dickerson, Katherine Leanne Dickerson, Laura Madison Dickerson; her parents: George Luis Hernandez, Sr. and Iris Fuentes Hernandez of Dewy Rose, GA; brothers and sister-in-law: George Luis Hernandez, Jr. and Kelly Hernandez, Nelson Luis Hernandez; father and mother-in-law: Norris Dickerson and Nancy Dickerson of Bowman, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Lachelle Causey and Tony Causey of Lavonia, GA and several nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services to celebrate Arlene's life will be held 1PM, Thursday, November 16 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Baughman officiating. Arlene will lie in state at Victory Baptist Church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Fork Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with George Luis Hernandez, Jr., Nelson Luis Hernandez, Norberto Florez, Norris Dickerson, Tony Causey and Joel Black serving as pallbearers. Alejandro Hernandez will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from 7PM to 9PM Wednesday night at Berry Funeral Home.
