Mr. Arthur Frank Adams, 89, of Double Bridges Rd. was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 22, 2024.
Arthur Frank Adams was born in Elbert County in the home of his parents George Marshall Adams and Mary Nell Alexander Adams on Armistice Day November 11, 1934.
Arthur Frank had three major things he loved in life: his family, his Lord and Master and being home. He will be cherished in memory for his kindness, his devotion, his commitment to the Lord and the Church and his love for all. He was a lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities throughout his life. He was a highly skilled lifelong heavy diesel mechanic and air compressor specialist.
W.B Adams was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Masons on September 17, 1970 and was Worshipful Master of Philomathea Lodge #25 F&A.M.s. Companion Adams received his Royal Arch Degrees on April 22, 1972, Royal & Select Master Council Degrees on February 19, 1974 being Excellent High Priest of Oliver Chapter #25 Royal Arch Masons and Illustrious Master of Elbert Council #25 Royal & Select Masters in 1980.Sir Knight Adams was a member of Godfrey DeBullion Commandery #14, receiving his Templar Degrees on May 20, 1972. Brother Adams was a Past 8th District Excellent High Priest, also a Scottish Rite (Valley of Atlanta-Orient of Charleston) and a member of Yarrab Shrine in Atlanta.
Frank is survived by his wife of 34 years Ann Farren Adams, three children: Roger D. Adams and Kathy, Mary R. Martyn and Doug, Sandra F. Adams and Kirby Greathouse, step-son Larry W. Smith and Jennifer; sister: Joyce Adams Ray, six grandchildren: Craig Adams, Candace Bahjat and Jonny, Carmen Perry and Jason, Wesley Chung-A-On and Kathryn, Morgan Chung-A-On, Katie Bloodworth and Alex; step-grandson David Smith; nine great-grandchildren: Sapheya, Gracie, Amelia, Ella, Landon, Claire, Olivia, Brynlee and Elijah and a former daughter-in-law: Stacie Adams mother of Gracie and Ella.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, the mother of their three children; Faye Bailey Adams; brothers: David M. Adams, Wendell C. Adams and George E. Adams; and by his daughter-in-law: Blanche Castagna Adams.
Funeral services to celebrate Mr. Adams life will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5PM to 8PM Tuesday night at Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Concord United Methodist Church with Masonic Rites.
Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in his memory to Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
