Austin Bruce Evans

Austin Bruce Evans, 15, of Elberton, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Austin is the son of Bruce and Chrissy Evans of Dewy Rose and Tara and Arnold Jaudon of Elberton.In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by brothers, Zack and Eli Evans,and sisters Addy Evans and Anna Jaudon;grandparents, Tommy and Pat Evans of Valdosta, Kay Culbertson of Piedmont, SC, Wayne and Belle David of Hartwell,Larry and Patricia Brady of Elberton, Jerrel and Barbara Rice of Royston, and Starke and Brenda Jaudon of Elberton. He is also survived by great-grandparents Liz Evans of Sparks, Ga., Alvanel Hendrix of Royston, John and Louise Rice of Royston, Clara Simmons of Elberton, Lila David of Bowman, and Effie Taylor.Austin was preceded in death by his great-grandparents John Evans, L.G. Hendrix, and Allen and Lois David. Austin was a 9th grade student at Elbert County Comprehensive High School.Austin loved deer hunting, baseball, riding his four-wheeler and his dirt bike. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Elberton, Georgia, In State at 12:00 noon.Pastors Tim Adams, Kenny Martin, and Joe Black will be officiating. Interment will be at Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deep Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 2335 Nickville Rd., Dewy Rose, GA. 30634, or to the Austin Evans Baseball Memorial Fund at Regions Bank.
