Avis Irene Wilson

Mrs. Avis Irene Carnes Wilson, 83, of Hannahs Creek Church Rd., Royston, GA wife of the late Robert Lee Wilson passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA.

Mrs. Wilson was born July 3, 1932 in Hart County to the late Willie H. Carnes and Mamie Reed Carnes. She was a member of Hannah's Creek Baptist Church and was a nursing home cook.

Left to cherish her memories are daughters Dianne Preston and Brenda Brown both of Royston, GA; grandchildren Daryl Brown, Christy Vaughn; great-granddaughters Alex McLeroy, Baylee Carson and great-grandson Hiatt McLeroy.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by siblings Hubert and Wallace Carnes, Fannie Walters, Leotis Hall and grandsons Bobby and Stephen Kennedy.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Saturday, May 7 at Hannah's Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Jones, Deacon Ronnie Vaughn, Carole Jones and Margaret Cutshall officiating.

In lieu of flowers and food the family has requested please to make memorials in her honor to Hannah's Creek Baptist Church.
