Baby Girl Iris Éire Fields passed peacefully in the arms of her parents on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born at 12:00p.m. and met the eyes of Jesus at 12:23p.m. the same day. At 1lb, 8oz, and 12 inches long, her tiny body was just too perfect for this world.
Iris is the beloved daughter of Kristopher Michael Fields and Kelssie Taylor Dickerson Fields. Her proud big sister is Lilia Thira Fields. The Fields family resides in Athens.
Beloved grandparents are Tracie and Allen Fields of Hartwell and Darrell and Michelle Dickerson of Dewy Rose; great-grandparents are Beverly and Henry Drennan of Dewy Rose; and great-great-grandmother is Jackie “Mama Jac” Harris of Bowman. Uncles and aunts include Dylan and Kelli Fields of Athens, Kinsley Dickerson of Royston, Kassidy and Matthew Swords of New Bern, NC, Michael Drennan of Commerce, Darlene and Brian Gilmer of Greenville, SC, Donald Dickerson of Dewy Rose, and Garnett and Robert Dickerson of Elberton. Her cousin is Orin Dean Swords.
She was welcomed to Heaven by her great-grandparents, Theresa and Ronald Brochu, Mildred and TJ Fields, Charles Dickerson, and Evelyn Norton, as well as two infant aunts born after her mother.
Even though Iris Éire only spent a short amount of time with us, she was immensely loved and brought immeasurable joy to those around her. Twenty three minute was all the time she needed to change the lives of those she touched forever.
She will be laid to rest among family at Fork Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Bowman.
Words of encouragement and messages of condolences may be sent to the family at berryfh.com.
