Barbara Allene Fleming

Mrs. Barbara Allene Harbert Fleming, 70, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. A native of Belton, South Carolina, Mrs. Fleming was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Jessie S. Harbert. She worked as a dietician at Pruitt Healthcare/Spring Valley Nursing Home.Mrs. Fleming loved taking walks in the park, and also enjoyed watching wrestling on TV. She loved watching old Western movies, especially those which starred John Wayne. Mrs. Fleming is survived by two daughters: Kathy Fleming (Gary Fry) and Barbara Arlene Fleming (Eddie Grimes); and two sons: Justin Fleming (Megan) and Judd Fleming (Amy Nelson), all of Elberton.She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Melanie Finch, Joshua Trent, and Jared Fleming; and a sister, Jeanette McCannon. Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by a son, Jason Fleming, and a sister, Winifred Bearden. Private funeral services were held on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
