Beatrice Ada Hammond

Mrs. Beatrice Bowman Hammond Mrs. Beatrice Bowman, age 82, of Elberton, died October 15, 2008 at Nancy Hart Nursing Home.She was a lifelong member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Hammond and two infant daughters. She is survived by her son, Douglas and Joyce Hammond of Collinsville, OK; her sister Dorothy Jones of Elberton; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18th, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Reverend Tim Adams officiating.Interment will follow at Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Beatrice B. Hammond.
