Mrs. Berthene Shead Hall Booth, 81, of Elberton, wife of the late Jack Booth and Walter Hall, Sr., passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Mrs. Booth was born March 28, 1934 in Franklin County to the late Roy Shead and Nettie Turman Shead Jordan. She retired from Elberton Mills after 15 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Berthene loved her family and friends. She never met a stranger and always had a smile for everyone. She was a joy to be around and had a heart of gold. Left to cherish her memories are devoted granddaughter Tiffany M. Edwards and her husband Jason, daughters Patricia Hall of Elberton and Diane H. Motes and her companion Jerry Long of Winder, and son Walter Hall, Jr., of Elberton, grandchildren Laura Wiedeman, Jennifer Motes, and David Motes, sister Joyce Brown of Elberton, and brother Ronald Jordan of Elberton, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Roy W. "Billy" Hall, infant granddaughter Christine Motes, and six sisters. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Tuesday August 4th at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, August 5th in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery in Elberton. The family is at their respective homes.
