Beth Edwards Wallis

Mrs. Beth Edwards Wallis, 74, of Elberton, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.Born July 3, 1946 in Elberton, she was the daughter of the late George Wallace Edwards, Sr. and the late Marjorie Lucyle Dye Edwards.When Beth wasn’t styling hair, she enjoyed sewing and cooking.She was a faithful member of Elberton First United Methodist Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Albert Wallis. Survivors include a son and his wife, George Thomas Oglesby III and Tina ; a daughter and her husband, Laura and Jesse Hernandez; grandchildren, Gray Oglesby (Caylor), Molly Oglesby, Brockington Oglesby, Maribeth Hernandez, Marjorie Hernandez and Marissa Hernandez; two sisters, Iris Fernandez (Manuel) and Gloria Childs (Roger); and one brother, Wallace Edwards, Jr. (Joellyn). A graveside memorial service was held on Sunday, February 28th at 2:00p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Jim McCollough officiating.
