Betty Ann Turman

Mrs. Betty Ann Turman was born August 26, 1957 in Elberton, GA, to L.M. and Carrie Mae Davis. She departed this life on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Betty was a member and SPRC chairperson of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Elberton, GA. She attended the Elbert County Comprehensive High School. Betty worked as a seamstress for many years before retiring to care for her family on a full-time basis.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, George Smith and Freddie Browner and sisters Carrie Turman and Teresa Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Loyalty Turman of Elberton, GA; 1 daughter, Amy Turman of Elberton, GA; 1 son, Bernard (LaShea) Turman of Elberton, GA; 1 sister, Elaine (Jim Tom) Heard of Elberton, GA; 6 brothers, Jimmy Browner, L.M. (Laura) Browner, Michael (Lucinda) Browner, Lee (Joshalyn) Browner, Mitchell Davis, and Terry Davis of Elberton, GA, 4 grandchildren; Brenard Turman of Evans, GA, Kamarcus Williams, Marquez Turman, and Kemauri Willis of Elberton, GA; 3 great-grandchildren, McKinzley Turman and Milani Turman of Evans, GA; and Ma’Kenna Williams of Augusta, GA; 1 godson, Kentavis Appling of Athens, GA, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Thursday, February 17 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Lincoln Heights Cemetery.
