Betty Anne Benson

Mrs. Betty Anne Swanson Benson, 86, of Bent Tree Lane Watkinsville, GA wife of 57 years to the late Donald Benson passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospice House.

Mrs. Benson was born October 10, 1930 in Wahpeton, ND to Matthew Oscar Swanson and Bessie Iona Peterson Swanson. She was a retired music teacher, a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, PEO, Delta Gamma and Daughters of American Revolution.

Survivors include son: John A. Benson; daughters: Dawn M. West, Uma J. Benson, Kirsten I. Benson, Kai S. Bower; grandchildren: Sabra Brooker, Jason West, Aubrie Atamanuil, Asha Willard, Merrick Bonner, Jessie Sellers, Brady Benson, Brooke Benson, Max Benson, Tixo Bower, Lotus Bower; great-grandchildren: Samuel Brooker and Josephine Brooker.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Lyle Swanson.

Memorial services will be held 2PM, April 1, 2017 at Presbyterian Village with Chris Moore-Keish and Catherine Renkin officiating. Inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Williamsport, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to PEO or Presbyterian Village.
