Betty Jacquelyn Boss Putman Camp, 83, of Monroe, widow of Sanders Camp, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Camp was born in Loganville, August 12, 1929, to the late J.E. and Lucille Boozer Boss. She was a Real Estate Broker, developer and builder. She was a member of Holy Cross Anglican Church in Loganville. She was a past president of the Barrett Davis Watson American Legion Auxiliary in Loganville. She was the first lifetime member of the Piedmont Board’s million Dollar Club in 1973. She was the president of the Walton board of Realtors in 1974. She was the founder of the Gwinnett Walton Music Society. In 1996 she served as a CASA court appointed special advocate for abused and foster children. Surviving are one daughter, Denise Putman of Monroe; siblings, Wendell Boss and Bobby Boss; grandchild, Courtney Cook; and great-grandchild, Cash King. She is preceded in death by her son, Hynes Putman. Memorial services celebrating her life will be held Saturday, April 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Monroe.
