Betty Jane Hathaway Martin

Betty Jane Hathaway Martin, 88, of 786 Omer Bond Road, Royston, Georgia widow of the late Donald James Martin passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home. Born in Pasadena, California, July 15, 1923 to the late Ernest Vincent Hathaway and Marjorie Clupper Hathaway. Mrs. Martin was a retired electronics machinist and attended the House of Prayer in Anderson, South Carolina. Left to cherish her memories are her children Steven Glenn Steed and wife Carol of Cape Coral, Florida; William Steed and wife Jenny of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Raymond Miller and wife Cindy of Central, South Carolina; Donita Powell and adopted son Steven McCall of Royston, Georgia; Nancy Ann Druckendrod and husband Mark of Lehigh, Florida; twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Roger Steed and a daughter Carol Jane Lutz. Mrs. Martin's wishes were cremation and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
