Betty Jones Daniel

Mrs. Betty Jones Daniel, 81, of Elberton passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. She was twice married, first to the late Cecil Daniel and second to the late Ronnie B. Mills. Mrs. Daniel was born on September 6, 1932, in Jasper to the late Hershel and Pauline Eaton Jones. She was a member of Fortsonia Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from Elberton Manufacturing. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Lewis "Bull" Bailey of Elberton; granddaughters: Lori and Jamie Head, Laci and Patrick Adams, and Cecile and Cody Kidd; great-grandsons: Haven Adams and Waylon Kidd; siblings: Jimmy Jones of Tignall, Bud Jones of Elberton, Larry Jones of Ninety Six, SC, Raymond Jones of Bowman and Ruth Saxon of Athens; step-children and spouses: Kelly and Alan Scott, Michele and Mike Goodyear, and Ronnie Berg Mills, II; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Judy Pless Daniel; grandson, Cole Daniel; brothers: Jake, Paul, Steve, and Charlie Jones; and special niece, Desi Jones. Funeral services celebrating her life were held on Saturday, July 26, at Fortsonia Baptist Church with Reverend Al Butler and Mrs. Juanita Scruton officiating. Interment followed in Elmhurst Cemetery with David Jones, Jason Keblish, Stan Mills, Rusty Adams, Jamie Head, Patrick Adams, Michael Baston, and Cody Kidd honored as pallbearers.
