The arrival of her Granddaughter, LaKeisha Faye Keffer McCray, October, 1976, started Betty’s journey of being the most proud, loving, giving, protective, doting “Granny”, imaginable. Followed by Grandson, Barry Lynn “B.J.” Keffer Jr. (Christina), February, 1983. Betty’s garden of Grandchildren grew with Great Grandchildren she simply adored: William Thomas “Tommy” Keffer (Sidney), Fabio Niblett and Audreyanna Heaven McCray. Betty’s beloved husband, Johnny and daughter, Kathy, arrived in Heaven before her. Betty was a devout Christian woman of the Methodist faith. She was a member of Granbury United Methodist Church, were she served as U.M.Y.F. teacher for many years. She was a retired quality control supervisor for Tultex Manufacturing Corporation with more than 30 years of service.
Betty loved flowers, plants and gardening, and was known for her green thumb. She was also known for her fantastic baking skills. Betty loved her Lord, her family, a great meal, a good laugh, and a beautiful flower. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend… but most of all, she was a loving Christian who will be sorely missed but our hearts are full knowing she is radiant in the presence of her Savior!
