Betty Ruth Burrell Anderson

Ms. Betty Ruth Burrell Anderson, 88, of Bowman Highway, Bowman, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at PruittHealth at Spring Valley.

Ms. Anderson was born in Jasper, GA on May 22, 1934, daughter of the late Ernest Hobert Burrell and Belle Elizabeth Darnell Burrell. A longtime resident of Kennesaw, GA, Betty retired to Bowman after many years of employment with General Motors. She enjoyed being a member of Bowman Baptist Church. She was always on-the-go and especially loved her sporty cars! Her artistic abilities were second-to-none and she used those for painting all kinds of things. Only second to her family, Betty loved listening and playing music, and was exceptionally well playing the guitar, piano, banjo, and mandolin.

Survivors include her sons: Michael Jack “Mike” Anderson and his wife Sharon of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Ronald Glenn “Ron” Anderson and his wife Patricia Carson of Roswell, GA; brothers: Mack Burrell and Austin Burrell, both of Elberton, GA; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Freda McGovern and Doris Burrell.

Memorial services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 11 o’clock at Bowman Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Petty officiating. Burial will be in Rollings Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth.
