Betty Jean Waters

Mrs. Betty Jean Moon Waters, 75, of Comer, GA passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Waters was the daughter of the late John Bonner and Minnie Lou Hancock Moon.She was the wife of William “Billy” Franklin Waters, Sr. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Waters is survived by her children: Pamla Lou Waters Tucker of Elberton, William F. “Frankie” Waters, Jr. (Missy) of Crawford, and Robert “Rob” Eric Waters of Monroe.She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mrs. Waters’ life was Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Collier Baptist Church, Comer, with Rev. Ken Callaway officiating. Visitation for family and friends was Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton.Interment was at Glade Cemetery in Carlton, GA. Flowers will be graciously accepted. Pallbearers will be Ryan Paul, Bryan Hammond, Brad Moon, Josh Tucker, Blake Crampton, and Billy Waters.
