Mrs. Beulah Treadway Fain passed away peacefully on December 12, 2023, at the age of 96 in Elberton, Georgia. She was born in Henderson County, North Carolina, on November 8, 1927,
The daughter of the late Pearline Wright Treadway, Beulah grew up surrounded by the picturesque beauty of the Appalachian mountains. Her early years were spent in the close-knit community where she attended Balfour School, laying the foundation for a life marked by learning, love, and laughter. After her graduation, she married Henry Fain and starting a family and moved to the Beulah Community of Lincoln County in 1959.
Beulah, a devoted homemaker who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as tending to her garden and exploring the great outdoors. Beulah and Henry shared a love for camping, creating memories by the lake, in the mountains, and by the ocean, embracing the beauty of the world around them.
Her husband Henry's passing preceded her own, but Beulah's legacy continued to flourish through her loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Scruggs and husband Donnie of Aiken, SC, Denise Hendley of Bath, SC, and Suzanne Goss and husband Brad of Bowman, GA; her son, Russell Fain; as well as her cherished 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; former son-in-law, Clyde Hendley and wife, Marie. In addition, she was preceded in death by her: great-grandson, Kayson Eli Hendley. Each of these individuals carry with them a piece of Beulah's spirit, her nurturing love, and her gentle guidance.
Beulah's life was a testament to the power of unconditional love. She was the best mother and grandmother one could ask for, always placing her family at the center of her heart. The love that she cultivated within the walls of her home extended far beyond, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11 am at Beulah Baptist Cemetery, Tignall. No visitation is planned.
