Mr. Bill J. Rosser, age 83, of Dewy Rose died in Elbert Memorial Hospital August 23, 2008.He was born in Elbert County August 2, 1925 to the late Zera McCrae Rosser and Georgia Hall Rosser.Mr. Rosser served in the Pacific during World War II and worked in the granite industry as a stone cutter for over 50 years.He was also a member of Stinchcomb United Methodist Church for over 55 years.He was preceded in death by his brother, James C. Rosser and his sister, Zera Nell Rosser. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy G. Rosser of Dewy Rose; daughters, Billi Yarbrough of Elberton, Diana Wickliffe of Anderson, SC, Cheri (James) Bailey of Elberton; son, Kenneth J. (Cynthia) Rosser of Dacula; grandchildren, Heath Yarbrough of Elberton, Ashley Yarbrough of Elberton, Starr Kelsey of Lawrenceville, John Adam Wickliffe of Greer, SC, Sherry W. Gray of Irmo, SC, Leslie Johnson of Elberton, Chad Bailey of Elberton,Vince Rosser of Gainesville, Jonathan Rosser of Buckhead, Joshua Rosser of Dacula; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Ima Jean Oglesby of Dewy Rose; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 2:00 in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Reverend Gale Seibert officiating.Interment will follow in Rehoboth Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.The family is accepting flowers and those desiring may make contributions to Stinchcomb United Methodist Church.Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Bill J.
