Billy James Oglesby

Billy "Jimmy" James Oglesby, 67, of 1648 Deep Creek Road, Dewy Rose, GA passed away Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Born in Elbert County he was a son of Ima Rosser Oglesby and the late N.B. Oglesby Jr. and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include his mother of the home Ima Rosser Oglesby, a brother and sister-in-law Darrell and Susan Oglesby of Eatonton, GA a niece Leah Oglesby Greene and a nephew Todd Oglesby. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday December 4, at 2PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Harkey officiating. Burial will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home 1648 Deep Creek Road and will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Jerry Oglesby, Wayne Oglesby, Lanier "Boots" Oglesby, George Earl Oglesby, Ricky Oglesby, Kenneth J. Rosser, Kenneth Rosser, and James Lee Bailey. The family has asked please in lieu of flowers to make memorials in his honor to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church P.O. Box 951 Elberton, GA 30635.
