Billy Stephens

Mr. Billy Stephens, 68, of Community Drive, Union Point, husband of 43 years to Victoria Lavrais Roberts Stephens, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Billy was born in Woodville, GA on September 11, 1950, son of the late Eugene Fielding Stephens and Grace Hubbard Stephens, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Stephens. He was a retired carpenter having worked at Raco Construction and a member of Bairdstown Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Vickie, he is survived by his children: Tim and Susan Stephens of Texas, Tammy Michelle Stephens Knight and Joe of Covington, and Christie Darlene Stephens Spencer of Union Point; sisters: Valgene Haynes of Alabama, Frances Gutherie of Good Hope, and Virginia Robinson of Colbert; grandchildren: Tavion Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Kaleigh Drumm, Hannah Stephens, Aaron Stephens, Samantha Knight, Joe Knight, and Jody Knight; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, August 25, at 4 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
