Billy Wayne Thomas

Billy Wayne Thomas, 63, died Friday, March 4, 2016 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness. Billy was born June 1, 1952 in Elberton, GA, a son of the late Kelly Louis Thomas and the late Wilma Black Thomas. He had worked at the Naval Shipyard in Charleston as a supervisor and he had also worked at the Florence Morning News Newspaper. Billy was a graduate of Summerville High School and a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Billy was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl James Thomas. Surviving are: his Children: Kelly Wayne (Felicia) Taylor of Summerville, Andrea Nicole Thomas of Summerville, Coleman Wayne Thomas of Marion and Matthew Kelly Thomas of Marion; his Grandchildren: Elizabeth Taylor, Payton Taylor, Parker Taylor, Carter Taylor, Christopher Graham, Dalton Graham, Natalya Thomas and Avery Thomas; and a Brother: Robert Norman (Cindy) Thomas of Tucker, GA. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 7, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Samuel Rogers, Rev. John Rogers and Rev. Scott Collins officiating. Burial followed in Reedy Creek Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins, SC. Visitation was Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
