Brandon Howard Dye

Mr. Brandon Howard Dye, 47, of Bakers Ferry Road, Elberton, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at his residence. 

Brandon was born in Elberton on December 6, 1976, son of the late Howard Manning Dye and Nora Anne Carithers Dye. He was a 1995 graduate of Elbert County High School and currently the owner/operator of Dye Property Services where he specialized in lawn maintenance. Brandon was previously employed for the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office where he worked in various positions including Lieutenant, School Resource Officer, and firearms instructor. He was proud of his 26 years of service to the ECSO and his marksmanship. Brandon was an avid FSU football fan. 

Surviving are his daughter, Averie Grace Dye of Anderson, SC; sister, Jessica Dye Brown and her husband Roger of Elberton; nephews: Ryker Brown and Gage Brown, both of Elberton; aunts and uncles: Carolyn Snellings of Elberton, Marguerite McCall of Elberton, Tommy Dye of Abbeville, SC, and Kenneth and Ellen Dye of Elberton; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at Fortsonia Community Cemetery.
