Ms. Brenda Faye Bond Chandler, 63, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center. Brenda was born in Elberton, daughter of the late Robert Arlington Bond and Annette Brown Bond. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Bond, and a son-in-law, Joshua Bolmon. Brenda was a retired legal secretary with the Southeastern Power Administration. She was a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church, and had served as the church pianist for more than 40 years.She was also a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, and sang with various other music groups.Brenda enjoyed reading, crafts, music, and sports.She cherished the time she shared with family and friends. Brenda is survived by her son, Robert Chandler and his wife, Kandice, of Elberton;her daughter, Rita Bolmon, of Elberton; and three grandchildren, Lake Chandler, Ever Chandler, and Chandler Benton.She also leaves behind a sister, Alesia Burch and her husband, Jim, of Hartwell, as well as nieces and nephews. A private service to celebrate Brenda’s life was held on Friday, September 18, 2020 with Rev. Gary Purvis officiating.Private interment followed in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements for Ms. Brenda Bond Chandler were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
