Brenda Kay Newton Scarborough

Brenda Kay Newton Scarborough, 67, of Petersburg Road, Elberton, wife of the late Robert Morris Scarborough, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Nancy Hart Nursing Center.

Brenda was born in Greer, SC on June 30, 1956, daughter of the later Jessie Kay Newton Hampton and step-daughter of the late Albert Curtis Hampton and Jessie Kay Newton. She was a homemaker and had previously worked as a CNA.

Surviving are her sister and caretaker, Elizabeth Clarke of Six Mile, SC; and son, Donnie Ray Bragg, Jr. of Enoree, SC.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Wayne Bragg; and brothers: Fred Curtis Hampton and Adam Gerald Hampton.

No services will be held. She will be laid to rest privately in Elmhurst Cemetery.
