Brenda was born October 3rd, 1950 in Marietta, GA. She married Raymond Smith on March 25, 1972 at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marrietta. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church for over 40 years. During that time, Brenda organized and decorated for too many events at the church to count. She attended church regularly at Indian Creek and also greatly enjoyed attending gatherings and services at Smoke Rise Baptist Church. Brenda was a school teacher at St. Timothy School for over 30 years. She taught preschool for a number of years before spending the remainder of her time at St. Timothy teaching kindergarten. She developed many close friendships during her career. For recreation, she enjoyed family camping trips and sharing adventures at the lake with her family and friends. Brenda had many hobbies throughout her life including crafts, cake decorating, cooking, baking, gardening, and going to plays with her friends. Most importantly, she loved to be with her grandchildren. She was lovingly called Mimi. She picked Avery and Graham up from school a couple of days each week and almost never missed one of their sports events. She even traveled to Colorado for several months to help take care of Henry as an infant. Brenda will be deeply missed but we take comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully with our Lord above.
