Brenda Strickland Waters

Mrs. Lettie 'Brenda' Strickland Waters, 74, of Fairfield Street, Calhoun Falls, SC, wife of 43 years to the late James 'Roger' Waters, entered into rest on Monday, May 30, 2016.

Mrs. Waters was born in Oconee County, SC, on September 25, 1941, daughter of the late Cole L. and Annie Maude Hozey Strickland. Brenda was a graduate of Calhoun Falls High School and received a degree in cosmetology. She was retired from the J.P. Stevens Plant having worked in food service for many years. She attended Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls, was an avid Clemson Fan, and was known for her love of cats.

Surviving are her sister, LaRue Wade and her husband George; sister-in-law, Judy Ross; special friends, Jean and Clifford Loftis; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls from 3:00-3:45p.m. Wednesday, June 1. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, June 1, at 4:00p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls with the Revs. Mike McMinn and Jerry Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville with her nephews serving as pallbearers.
