Brian Richard Fitzpatrick

Mr. Brian Richard Fitzpatrick, 72, of Macon, GA, passed away on Christmas Day 2024, at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, GA.

Brian was born in Tamaqua, PA on March 12, 1952, son of the late John Edward Fitzpatrick and Vanda Alvesta Oakes Fitzpatrick, and is a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Macon. He was a graduate of Willingham High School in Macon and was an electrician having retired from Ace Electric after 46 years of service.

Brian loved the game of golf, and especially looked forward playing weekly with his buddies Jack and Mike. His family was his world; he loved them dearly and was loved in return by them. Brian looked forward to having a cup of coffee on the front porch, accompanied by a pecan roll each morning.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Debra Shepard Fitzpatrick and their faithful four-legged companion Leo; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Jeffrey Quillian; son, Matthew Fitzpatrick; grandchildren who absolutely adored their “Bobo”: Palmer, Lucy, and Merritt; brother, Dennis Fitzpatrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a special grandmother, Sarah Fitzpatrick; and brother, Barry Fitzpatrick.

Brian was adamant that he did not want a formal service, and the family is honoring his request. If desired, a contribution may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association.
