Mrs. Bridgette Estelle Saxon Davis, 35, of Whites Chapel Road, Elberton, wife of Jeremy Adam Davis, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 24, 2014, at her residence. Bridgette was born in Franklin County on November 17, 1978, daughter of Barbara Higginbotham Fortson and the late William Ward Saxon. She was a graduate of Elbert County High School, a homemaker, and a member of Eliam United Methodist Church. Bridgette married the love of her life, Jeremy, on February 7, 2013. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of the home, Jeremy Adam Davis; step-children, Dakota Davis and Katie Davis; mother and step-father, Bobbie and Ron Fortson of Hartwell; sister, Angie L. Dye and her husband Brandon of Elberton; niece, Averie Dye of Elberton; grandfather, Joe Higginbotham, Sr. of Elberton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Frankie Poore Higginbotham and Bonnie "Grannie Mac" Fortson. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 2PM, Sunday March 2, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Paramore officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 6-8PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home.
