Bruce Hamilton, Jr.

Bruce Hamilton Jr., age 80, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 8, 1936 in Bristol, Va., a son of the late Bill and Eula Bellamy Hamilton. Bruce was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. He retired from Univac where he was a Quality Control Supervisor. Bruce was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Horner Hamilton; brother, Webster Hamilton; and sisters, Mae Hamilton and Nora Zobedia Clore.

He is survived by his sons, Randy L. Hamilton and wife Karen, Timothy W. Hamilton and wife Glenna; grandchildren, Joey, Robbie and Jonny; great grandchildren, Tommy, Alice and Dustin; sister, Faye Herron; and several nieces nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rosa Slavik officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4 p.m. prior to the service and at other times 15084 Old Jonesboro Rd Bristol, Va. The interment will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Cemetery.
