Mr. Joseph Austin "Butch" Mills, 77, of Eliam Road, Elberton, husband of Linda Harper Mills, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Mills was born in Elbert County on December 4, 1936, to the late Hugh Dorsey "Hiball" and Ruth Burton Mills. He was a member of Eliam United Methodist Church and employed by Anderson NAPA Auto Parts. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Linda Harper Mills of the home; two children, Hueston Mills and his wife Denise and Nan Mills Dove and her husband Mark, all of Elberton; four grandchildren, Justin Saxon of Orlando, Florida, Derek Mills, Brock Mills, and Savannah Dove, all of Elberton; one great-grandson, Brantley; two siblings, Sandra Yeargin and her husband Ray and Galen Mills and his wife Judy, all of Elberton; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, March 6, at 6:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Wes Privett and Joe Watson officiating. At Butch's request, the family asks those attending to dress casual. The family is at the residence on Eliam Road and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home immediately following the service.
