Carl Ann Pass Ouzts

Carl Ann Pass Ouzts, 86, of 1192 Country Club Road, Elberton, departed this life on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at her residence after a long illness.

Born in the Millstone Creek Community of Oglethorpe County on April 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter Carl “Bunkin” Pass and Lena Agnes Smith Pass. She was a graduate of Oglethorpe County High School. In 1958, Carl Ann married Ronald Claybourn Ouzts of Elbert County and they had two sons: Karl Claybourne and Richard Daniel.

Carl Ann worked for several years at the Elbert Memorial Hospital as a receptionist until her retirement just over a decade ago. She accepted Christ early in life and most recently attended Vesta Baptist Church until the onset of her illness.

Surviving are her two sons and Daniel’s wife, Michelle. She had eight grandchildren: Landon, Marla, Forbes, Camille, Addison, Graham, Makenzie, and Gabe; and two great-grandchildren: Barrett and Knox.

She was greatly loved by her family who will miss her forever until we are all reunited in heavenly paradise.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, from 1:00-1:45p.m. at Vesta Baptist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00p.m. at Vesta Baptist Church with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Rev. Russell Bruce will officiate and Landon Ouzts, Addison Ouzts, Graham Ouzts, Gabe Ouzts, Marc Rhodes, and Michael Moravick honored as pallbearers.
