Carl J. Capobianco, formerly of Billerica, Wilmington, Andover, North Andover, and Vero Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2014, at the age of 88. Carl was born in Boston, MA; he was the beloved son of the late Ralph and Antoinette(Chicariello) Capobianco. Carl is lovingly survived by his children Carlene Capobianco of Georgia and Ralph (Chip) Capobianco & his wife Nancy of South Carolina, his Grandchildren Carl Mitcheson, Taryn Doak, Nick Kania, Travis Andrews & her husband Deacon, and his Great-Grandchild Maddix Andrews. Carl was the dear brother of John, Ralph, and Romolo Capobianco, and Anna Tucci and is further survived by his former wife and dear friend Margaret (Denton) Capobianco as well as several nieces and nephews. Carl was a Navy veteran of WW II and served on the USS Topeka. Carl was the owner of Windkist Arabians in North Andover, MA, where he successfully raised and showed Arabian Horses for over 30 years. Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, December 31st at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday December 30th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Carl’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 Nichols Funeral Home, Wilmington, MA in charge.
