Mr. Carl Steven Mincey, 62, of Hartwell Highway, Elberton, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019, at his residence.

Steve was born in Elberton on August 7, 1956, son of the late Carl Jack Mincey and Dorothy “Dot” Terrell Mincey. He was a retired service manager having worked for Coca-Cola/Five Star, and a member of Celebration Outreach Center.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Krystal Ann and David Robert Schmid of Martinsburg, West Virginia; and siblings: James R. Mincey of Anderson, SC and Judy C. Mincey of Elberton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Mincey and an infant brother, Robert Randall Mincey.

Funeral services to celebrate Steve’s life will be held 11AM on Friday August 9, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Branigan Mincey, Wayne Moore, Woody Tucker, Curt Pulliam, Barry Turner, Keith Cordell and Wayne Booth serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10AM-11AM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
