Carolyn Elaine Cann

Carolyn Elaine Cann, 67, of Heardmont Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Wednesday evening, June 13, 2012, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Miss Cann was born in Anderson, South Carolina, April 2, 1945, to the late James Thomas and Kathryn Erwin Cann. She was a newspaper Editor having worked with The Elberton Star and the Anderson Independent Mail for many years. Carolyn was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Iva, South Carolina, the American Cancer Society, and Easter Seals. She is survived by her caretaker, Donna L. Seymour of Elberton; the staff and residents of Heardmont Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center; and many friends. Miss Cann's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Heardmont Nursing Home.
