Carolyn June Leftwich Guest

Mrs. Carolyn June Leftwich Guest, 84, of Anderson Hwy. Elberton, GA passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Mrs. Guest was born June 21, 1937 in Greensboro, GA to Mercer Jefferson Leftwich, Sr. and Jimmie Sue Mayo Leftwich. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Elberton for over 30 years as well as a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. She worked as a X-Ray Technician for 19 years, as a self-employed caterer for 23 years and ran her dress shop for 13 years.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Roger Guest; daughters and sons-in-law: Leslie and Eddie Curtis, Letha and Chris Cornell; grandchildren: Charles Michael Cornell and Samantha W. Cornell and Evan Cornell; great-grandchild: Owen Cornell.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Mercer Jefferson Leftwich, Jr.

Funeral services to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held 11AM, Friday, January 14 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Wright officiating. Interment will be in Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested to please make memorials in Carlyon’s memory to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
