Charlene Wood Eaves

Mrs. Charlene Wood Eaves, 94, of Elberton, wife of the late Frank King "F.K." Eaves, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Nancy Hart Nursing Home. Mrs. Eaves was born in Elbert County on June 24, 1920, to the late Charlie M. and Alma Brown Wood. She was a secretary having worked at the Elbert County Board of Education for 32 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton and the church's Friendship Sunday School Class. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jeff Eaves of Bowman; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, February 6, at Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Paul Rowe officiating. Dink Fleming, Sam Hill, Chas Rousey, Logan Rousey, Joe Campbell, and Kevin Eaves will be serving as pallbearers. The family is at the home of Jeff and Chris Eaves, 2636 Sand Hill Road, Bowman and will receive friends from 12:30-1:30p.m. on Friday just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
