Mr. Charles Milton Bratton, 86, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Bratton was born July17, 1926, in Sardis Mississippi to Allie Mae and Theo Bratton. Mr. Bratton is survived by his wife, Louise, of 67 years; son, Charles M. Bratton, Jr. of College Grove Tennessee; daughter, Karen (Bob) Hardy of Elberton; three brothers, Robert (Grace) Bratton of Southaven, Mississippi, Willard Bratton of Pope, Mississippi, and Larry Bratton of Gulf Shores, Alabama; and a sister Lyda (Travis) Lunceford of Charlotte, North Carolina. Also surviving are three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Mr. Bratton was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Lenoir B. McNeill. Mr. Bratton spent ten years as an FBI agent, and he retired from Sears after thirty years of service as a retail controller and accounting center manager. Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 p. m. at Elberton First Baptist Church with Reverend Raymond Scott officiating. Visitation was Sunday, January 6, 2013from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home.
